v2.19.7
Harden updates and local fingerprint admission, correct agent-discovery
attribution, and keep current agent integrations focused on the requested work.
Fixed
recon updatedownloads a pip release before replacing the installation, on
every platform. A failed download leaves the current files in place. macOS
and Linux then run the package manager in the foreground. Windows copies an
isolated worker out of the package, waits until everyrecon.exehas exited,
retries a transient file lock, and checks thatrecon-toolimports. A failed
upgrade prints a direct recovery command. The previous Windows failure text
told the operator to runrecon updateagain after the package could already
have been removed.- Every updater-managed pip command now suppresses implicit working-directory
imports, including download, offline install and printed recovery commands.
A workspacepip.pyorpippackage can no longer replace installed pip;
user-site installs remain supported. - Regex admission accounts for inline comments, scoped verbose mode and
escaped comment terminators before checking repetition. Comment syntax can
no longer hide the reviewed unsafe forms from catalog, specificity or
process-local fingerprint-injection validation. - AID detection recognizes current
aid2and legacyaid1declarations and
uses the vendor-neutral name. The historicalcrewai-aidslug stays stable.
MCP DNS discovery is labeled as a community proposal. These markers no
longer establish an AI-platform or autonomous-agent deployment claim.
Changed
- Adopt stable MCP SDK 2.2.0 and companion types in the lock, retaining the
existing dependency range and exact 1.28.1, 2.0.0 and 2.2.0 compatibility gates. - Require PyJWT 2.14.0 or newer for the existing MCP dependency and lock current
stable 2.15.1. This excludes the affected 2.13.0 release flagged by the
September dependency audit; the floor also ships in wheel metadata so pip
upgrades cannot retain it. See the upstream security fixes. - Refine shared development guidance and native/generated skills: concise
one-off lookups, direct comparisons over supplied domains, relevant evidence
and collection failures, and posture diagnostics only when requested. Current
Agent Plugins schemas remain byte-identical to the vendored 1.0.0 copies;
representative-client acceptance remains a separate uncompleted evaluation.
