Version: 2.4.2

Operating System: Linux (Arch)

What is happening: Unable to download firmwares from github

How to reproduce it: Connect Ping1D and open firmware menu, the automatic selections are never populated

The solution is to install openssl-1.1 from the package manager. Thanks @patrickelectric !
