Recently, a popular user left Bluesky due to harassment. She said it would help if there was an option to block new users. There is actually a service called @profile-labels.bossett.social that labels newly created accounts. It would be nice if we could use this service for blocking accounts from our reply threads, not merely for hiding them from our feeds.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to be able to block accounts by label. So if I block the "New Account" label applied by the aforementioned service, it will prevent new accounts from replying to my threads.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Subscribing to the labeler gives you the ability to hide labelled accounts, but they can still harass other users via reply threads.
Blocking accounts manually is too much hassle.
Additional context
Bluesky mentioned "improved anti-harassment tools" as a feature they're working on in a recent blog post. Adding the ability to Block By Label would align well with this goal.

I completely agree with this proposal. Bluesky should seriously entertain this option. Users should have the ability to restrict replies to old accounts only. This would effectively prevent new accounts, which are often created for the sole purpose of harassment, from engaging in abusive behavior. But this can only be possible if blocking by label becomes a reality. Manually blocking accounts consumes too much time. This shouldn't be the default setting on every post, but rather an option that users can enable on a per-thread basis.
Of course, "New Accounts" is not the only label. There are lots of spam accounts that don't add profile pictures or bios, so "No Profile Picture" or "No Bio" can be useful. Same with "Repeated Hashtag Use." Some posters don't want to deal with someone who they know will engage in reply wars, so "High Reply Volume" is another label. There is a small subset of users that are blocked or muted by hundreds, if not thousands, of Bluesky members. This is a sure sign this is a problematic user, so a label like "High Block/Mute Ratio" would be helpful.
This request is interesting because it seems like it'll just target all new users regardless if they are problematic or not. I know many that do not add profile pictures or bio but that also does not make them problematic
