When scrolling through the skyline using safari on iPadOS, the scrolling becomes glitchy after the equivalent of 3-4 screens have been scrolled.

The attached screencast shows the erratic scrolling behaviour, with the skyline jumping back and forth instead of scrolling smoothly.

To reproduce:

  • open safari on iPad
  • browse to bsky.app
  • scroll the skyline until the equivalent of 3-4 screens have been scrolled

Observed on:

  • iPad Air 2020 running iPadOS 16.2 and iPad Pro 12.9" 2021 running iPadOS 16.6.1
  • Bsky.app build 1.50.0

This is actually an issue that's not specific to the ipad. I suspect it might have to do with image sizing, but I cant be sure

@pfrazee - So far, I haven't been able to reproduce the issue on another platform/browser, whether it's safari on MacOS, Chrome/Firefox/Edge/whatever on Windows, or Firefox or Chromium on Linux.
