Similar feature to whatsapp, steam, slack, discord, github, instagram, where users can have online status customized visible, online, away, hidden, busy, or maybe even custom?

would be able to work alongside DM's [when that feature exists], to show when someone is online/offline

could work along side businesses who offer any online support

I think such a thing is impossible since Bluesky isn't a messaging app like Skype, etc.

If real-time capability is not required (like online), it could be included in app.bsky.actor.profile
