The splash screen displayed when the app starts should always follow the Appearance setting. This is already the case if the user has selected System.
However, if a user has set Appearance to either Light or Dark, the splash screen displayed when the app is next started doesn't currently follow that preference.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Set Appearance to Dark in Settings and make sure system Dark Mode is off.
Force-quit the app.
Open the app.
The app displays the bright splash screen.
(Alternatively, follow these steps with Appearance set to Light and Dark Mode on.)
Expected behavior
The app should follow the user's expressed Appearance setting of Dark and show the dark splash screen, even though system Dark Mode is not enabled.
(Alternatively, the app should follow the user's expressed Appearance setting of Light and show the bright splash screen, even though system Dark Mode is enabled.)
