There is a problem with reserved characters at some point in the convert to HTML process, particularly with < and >. Maybe a problem with how SOLR is ingesting the HTML?
For example, the supplied tag <supplied> in xml generates < {content} > in convert2HTML but this is given as <{content}> in the page source and so doesn't display correctly. At http://black01-qa.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/catalog/manuscript_MS_Barocci_219 the source xml has <author><supplied>Libanius</supplied></author> which comes out as <Libanius> in the html source and is not displayed on the page.
