Hey there, Camunda community!
As Hacktoberfest approaches, we wanted to share a little update with you. This year, we won’t be hosting our own Camunda Hacktoberfest challenge like we have in previous years.
While we won’t be giving out our own swag this time, the Hacktoberfest spirit is still alive and well! Hacktoberfest is still on, and they have their own challenge and swag offerings. You – yes YOU! – can absolutely dive into the Hacktoberfest festivities on your own. How, you ask? There are two ways!
If you own a public Camunda-related repo, whether in the Community Hub or on your personal GitHub/GitLab account, you can participate by tagging your repositories with hacktoberfest. This shows Hacktoberfest participants that you are accepting PRs for the event. See more information on participating as a maintainer here.
If you want to participate as a contributor, search for Camunda-related projects with the hacktoberfest tag! Remember, lots of repos are looking for non-code contributions as well, so even if you’re not a developer, you can still be an open-source contributor! See more information about participating as a contributor here.
Hacktoberfest is a chance to encourage budding open-source contributors. So, even though we won’t be throwing our own party this time, you’re absolutely invited to the open-source celebration that is Hacktoberfest. 🎉
Keep coding, keep collaborating, and keep the camaraderie alive. Let’s make this Hacktoberfest an incredible one, even without our own challenge. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need guidance, and tell us what you’re working on for Hacktoberfest – we’re still here to cheer you on!
Happy coding and happy Hacktoberfest-ing! 🚀🎃
