Map Chalet Update Required #90
Comments
@0veX93 Hey, thanks very much! I definitely want the site to be 100% accurate so I really appreciate these sort of submissions, actually. If you get to other maps too it would be very welcome. Regarding breakable windows, yes it would be very nice to have that done (see here #89) if you marked a window as either breakable or not with a blue and orange or something like that it would be very very helpful. You don't have to be subtle with your markings though, like the white bar. Make it painfully obvious for my old eyes. ;) I'm having a hard time following the access points that need to be redone? I think maybe the editing you did is too good (I would recommend circling changed areas in a red circle or something to that effect, otherwise I'll likely miss some items). |
So I've gone through the images he posted, and I think I found all the differences (next time though, @0veX93, circle or list out the changes in addition. It would help resolve your issues much faster). Anything crossed out was put as an edit by @0veX93, but corrected by me checking in game.
Do we want breakable windows to have a color/texture? Do we want unbreakable windows to have one? Or to just count them as a wall? There are unbreakable windows that do not appear as windows in ubi's given maps (check out Main Garage north wall). Would we mark those if we mark unbreakable windows? Also, would we mark breakable windows inside buildings (see tellers in Border or the ones on 2F front desk in Bank)? Also note: on the second floor of Chalet, on the south wall of the great hall there are windows that you can throw stuff through, but you cannot barricade. Do we want to label those differently, or let the user figure out it cannot be reinforced. . |
Awesome thank you for breaking that down! I will try to get to this soon now. Just working on a couple of other pressing items first. |
…ngs that may never happen)
Hello there. I've found this website quite recently which is by far extraordinary if you want to get good at game by learning the maps but as a start I found this map in the beginning to not be 100% accurate with the in-game one regarding breakable access points etc.
I've already checked the map corner by corner, every breakable window, doors, floors etc, at least the house, and I've took my time to edit the map in photoshop so you can see exactly where it needs to be changed in order to be 100% accurate. I would not suggest to use my photos directly because they are not at pixel level accurate so in case you decide to modify it you have to do it personally.
This is a friendly suggestion of mine, I don't want to insinuate something bad. All I want is to contribute to this great website which I found it awesome if you want to get serious about this game. I'm still learning this game and if you are interested I'l gladly check the others map as well because my reasons is to learn this game and get good at it.
By checking Chalet map I can confirm the following:
some of the spawn points needs a bit of adjustment; in game spawn points http://imgur.com/XYcotyp
a bunch of access points needs to be redone:
Basement: http://imgur.com/a/IFW5A;
First Floor: http://imgur.com/a/r1cXO;
Second Floor: http://imgur.com/a/tGrMN;
at Second Floor, at fireplace hallway the floor is breakable;
all camera placement are ok;
all objective locations are ok;
Regarding unbreakable windows I've just put a white bar like a normal wall. Maybe if you are interested I could mark the unbreakable windows on the map.
