Is it free to use ?

cfp.io is a community driven hosted call for paper

• it's free - as "free beer" : no fees
• it's free - as "free speach" : AGPL opensource

We won't update our term of service to suddenly ask you for money, we won't lock you in : you can fork our code base and run on your own if you really want to bother with hosting :P

Who pays for it ?

We do. BreizhCamp conference team, who maintains the service, needs a call for paper. And we noticed our server is running most of his time a < 1% load. As our code is designed to support multi-tenancy, we actually can host hundreds call for papers on the same server. As back benefit, we expect to learn from other interesting new use cases, integration with third party services, and visibility when we look for speakers.
