Hey everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿพ

I'm a Fellow at the Brookings Institution and a recent PhD graduate in Computer Science at Cornell University with research interests in AI governance, global development, and human-centered AI! Within these fields, I work on projects related to improving AI governance capacity in the Global South, examining human-centered AI, and analyzing the socioeconomic impact of data work. I've also recently been recognized as one of the world's most influential people in AI by TIME.

My dissertation research examined how frontline healthcare workers in rural India perceive AI and analyzed how AI explainability can meet the needs of novice technology users in the Global South. Check out my thesis!

In my free time, I love to travel, scroll down my Twitter feed, blog, and compose songs.

  • ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฟโ€๐Ÿ’ป Iโ€™m working on a research study examining the potential of XAI in policy proposals
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Iโ€™m learning about development economics
  • ๐Ÿ“š Iโ€™m reading whatever's on my Goodreads and my favorites are on my Bookshelf
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Ask me about pursuing a career in policy, navigating the PhD job market, or human-centered AI
  • ๐Ÿ“ซ How to reach me: go through my website!
  • โšก Fun fact: I've been to over 2 dozen countries and lived in 3!
