What endpoint would you like to request?

  • Activation
  • Pricing
  • Use GOVS API for City of Miami / Venture Miami

Is this something directly available, or does it have to be calculated?

Govs API calculates this and serves it to city users at the government level.

Other Considerations/Notes?

  • We need this to be incorporated to drive operationalize and utility use
  • We want to be able to prioritize this as a standard for other cities in our network to adopt responsibly.

Hey Gregory! I took a look at this today and would love to start thinking about how we can integrate the two in the simplest yet iterative sense.

Following the link to the website shows me a main home page and teams page, but I don't see any references to the actual protocol itself. Maybe I missed something?

If you have any documentation on what's available then we can look at how the services could work together and what makes sense for next steps.

Yeah @whoabuddy simplest is way is using our generalize API.

We are behind on updating documentation, but have a clear strategy for incorporating this into city data stacks.

I'll share this when ready and edit the initial document to reflect that when available.

@HiGregory What I meant is I can't find the documentation - I've looked on both https://datagovs.com/ and https://www.govs.io/ but don't see any links to the docs.

I'm probably just missing it- but if you can share that here, the first step I'd like to complete is scoping out exactly what needs to be added.

Some questions:

Activation

There are already a number of endpoints for activation, is there a new one needed that doesn't exist now?

Pricing

There is one endpoint now for pricing per city and STX using CoinGecko. Other providers could be Nomics #37 and CoinMarketCap #38 if multiple values are needed.

Use GOVS API for City of Miami / Venture Miami

  • Would this be a set of endpoints that resolve to endpoints on the DataGovs API?
  • What format do the requests need to be sent in?
  • Are there any API keys required, rate limits, etc?

simplest is way is using our generalize API.

  • What do you mean by "generalize API"? (assuming that'll be in the docs)

Also, thanks for the request and excited to see what we can do here!

Hi @whoabuddy - I met a standard API that shows data that works with all governments in our network.

  • Would this be a set of endpoints that resolve to endpoints on the DataGovs API? Yes.
  • What format do the requests need to be sent in? Once we clarify with CC I'll send this format.
  • Are there any API keys required, rate limits, etc? API keys.

On my side, my team will work on getting this in a clear scope document for you and CC team to incorporate.
