  • Review the wiki for 4.0.0 Home: an index of the pages. Installing: per-chip file names, S3 needs 8 MB, building with pioarduino instead of the Arduino IDE, web updates moved to Updating. Updating: per-chip files, C5/C6 over USB, the GitHub update removed. Configuring: AP name, Ethernet on the ESP32 only, 1-button gates, Tilt Only and Euro Tilt, 7 linked remotes, what backup and restore cover. User Interface Reference: Secured replaces Secure Config Only, firmware tab, IO protocols, noise detection, frame log commands. Backup File Anatomy: version 24, version gates checked against ConfigRecords.cpp, group flip and rolling code, current enums. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Updating to 4.0.0: flash over USB from 3.x; add the ESP32-C5 An update from the 3.x web UI to 4.0.0 fails, so 3.x devices take a backup, flash the onboard image and restore it. The Github Update Method is marked as gone from 4.0.0. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
