Yes, that's a lot better! Maybe the symbols could be removed as well? From my point of view, the alignment is already enough to get the point across that we match orthography to sounds.

Ignore symbols at the bottom (just wanted to not delete them, while still working on this). I like the symbols, but specifically only since I always wanted to make a figure with a "puzzle". If you say, the symbols are superfluous, I follow your opinion here, as I myself cannot really tell...

My preference is strongly for removing the symbols. I think this clearly conveys the idea: CLTS is IPA with segmentation :)
