When using an NS2 script to change node locations the "set Z_" command does not appear to change the altitude of the node. The altitude simply remains at what ever level it was set to as default in the CORE gui "Size/scale" setting.
Note: The Lat/Long changed as expected
Expected behavior
When the NS2 command is ran I would expect to see the altitude within the EMANESH Location table adjust accordingly. I would also expect the nodes altitude to change on the SDT3D display yet it remains at the default level. The same scenario and NS2 script was used with an older version of CORE (4.8) and everything worked as expected.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
OS: Ubuntu 18.04
CORE Version 7.3.0
EMANE Version 0.9.3

Thanks, I'll take a look into this. If possible, the transformation may be off due to using a single scale, even lat/lon do not translate precisely and are rough depending on the size and scale settings used.
Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I’ve always been given the impression that EMANE 0.x worked with CORE 4.8 and below and that CORE 5.x+ required EMANE 1.x.

[BUG]
[BUG] NS2 Scripts z position and altitude
Feb 17, 2021
Can confirm this is on CORE 8.2.0 with EMANE 1.3.3 (though the EMANE version doesn't seem important for this issue, since it should happen without using EMANE at all). Z/altitude from NS2 script seems to be ignored entirely
