#vasm_z80_oldstyle_eval
The aim of this project is to automatically evaluate vasm assembler compiled with z80 support and oldstyle syntax in order to test regressions. This is important because z80 support has still few bugs, and it is important to know where it fails in order to not use the buggy functionnalities/instructions or to patch and correct vasm.
The script read source files from these folders:
- good Good folder must contains asm source files supposed to be correctly assembled with a bug free assembler. You can optionaly put a <filename>.bin binary file which will be compared to what vasm produces. When there are no bugs the output of vasm (with -Fbin) must be similar to this file.
- bad Bad folder must contains asm source files supposed to raise errors with a bug free assembler
- equiv Contain asm source file read by pair of lines. Each line of the couple must be assembled exactly in the same way.
If the name of one asm file contains the string _alone, the each line is assembled individually instead of assembling the file as a whole.
In order to launch the tests on the official vasm version, uses:
make test_public
In order to launch the tests on your own version, uses:
VASM=<path_to_vasm> make test_perso
Feel free to add extra test cases, and to patch vasm. There are no modifications to do if you want to test other flavors of vasm.
