Building from latest packages, which version to choose from linux-amlogic

Hi @cpm-code Thank you very much for your hard work on the AV sync issues in the recent commits. I made a build with the latest commits from all three repositories, and I've observed that there is a huge improvement for me with the AV sync while seeking DV FEL content, especially DTDL from BDMV or M2TS files. In fact, I think the sync issues are almost completely resolved now.

However, with this build, PCM audio is not working at all and only passthrough is working fine. I've noticed that there is some rework done wrt PCM in the linux-amlogic repo. Can you or anyone please guide me on which commit/package version to choose from this repo to have PCM audio back to status quo and retain the FEL sync benefits?

Btw, @chucky88 do you mind sharing a build you use that has been synced with upstream CE changes?

@chucky88 The mainline CE-ng builds now have an added option to switch between TV-led and player-led DV playback, and I'm pretty sure that was not the case in earlier builds this year. You can correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that mean they're still pushing some changes and improvements to CE-21-ng?

I think it was already there for sometime, they have renamed it to be more user-friendly not that long ago.
Team CE has been stressing for months that NG is EOL and 'just use 22-NO', so I very much doubt they are actively working on it (feature-wise), only what's available on the surface, like periodic pulls from LibreELEC base and maybe some ready-fixes that are verified just need a quick PR.

sorry, not atm. I have backported some stuff from 22, but it might break compatibility with some addons or features, so I'm waiting on the things to settle/finalize on the cpm-branch and then might share.

Anyway you are not missing that much with not being in full sync with mainline, CPM anyway cherry-picked a lot of important stuff from the mainline, just in a different order (you can see it the git history).

"HINT:
In case we will not be able to obtain a dovi.ko module compatible with the 5.15 kernel in time for CoreELEC-22.0, we may restore the Amlogic-ng builds for applicable SoCs only."

this info was posted relatively 'long' time ago and now all seems to be working on CE22 (only without FEL). Users were not happy of course with the lack of FEL, but Team CE decided that it's not worth maintaing NG along NO with 22. FEL was mostly a happy accident and discovery and Amlogic/Dolby broke it in new kernel. FEL was only meant to be available for implementation to BD player manufacturers. If you read the forum more you will see Team CE taking a different stance on the issue compared to the initial post (when less info was available and less progress made). Now the official position: 21/NG = EOL, move on to the 22/NO or just stay on the old one if you need that specific functionality.
