Align character count/limit display with input field

Is there a chance the character limit/count display of the CKEditor could be aligned with the character count/limit display of the input field?

Currently the CKEditor one does count up when typing, which behaves differently compared to the input character counter, which initially shows the configured limit and counts down when typing.

I don't consider this a bug, but is there a chance this might be aligned in the future so they work the same?
