Please add a way to 1) hide the status switches per site (so it's always in sync) and 2) hide the status switches alltogether
#9021
Currently I have a situation in which I don't want customers to turn off an item per locale by switching the status switch per site/locale. I want it either to be switched on or off for all locales, so always in sync.
There is a status switch in Craft like this that does it and switches all locales/sites at the same time, but we can't turn off the per-site/locale switches now. So customers can still switch per locale, which messes up the system here.
Rightnow I'm ignoring the status by setting status on null in the element-api criteria while requesting the data. But that's obviously not very clean as the switches are still available for the customer to see (which is confusing) AND with this it isn't possible to switch an item off by the customer any longer, which is not ideal.
That last part we can solve by adding a custom switch, which is working on all sites together, just to replace the status-switch, but that's not a great solution either, as we have yet another field, where the status switch was meant to do this, and still the status switch is visible in the control panel, which is confusing and feels kinda messy.
Also there's no way to switch multiple items off in a list view in the CP when using a custom status switch, like the normal status switch conveniently has, making it a lot more work to switch a bunch of items on/off. Also we don't see the 'green' vs 'white' indicators in the list to quickly detect if items are on or off. Etc.
Could you please consider adding this?
Adding a switch Show status switch(es) in at least the entry and category settings (that's on per default) which let us hide all status switches alltogether from the customer on that entry type. So the customer will never be able to switch any of the locales/sites off for that type.
Adding a switch Show status switch for this site in at least the entry and category settings (that's on per default and disabled when the Show status switch(es) switch is turned off) which let us hide the per-site/local status switches from the customer on that entry type in this locale. So the customer will never be able to switch any of the locales/sites off per site for that type.
