Anti Scrolling Blogging
This isn't necessarily a new idea, but I want to create a blogging/social media-esque site that is against normal social media in a way. The blogging aspect would be open-ended - pictures, writing, thoughts, etc. There would be no feed, stories, likes, comments, or anything that promotes endless scrolling. You could have a certain number of favorites/friends - people whose pages you have saved, but you have to navigate to each page individually to see what they create. The idea wouldn't be to blow up, but rather to just promote creative thinking while still saving a digital history for future generations, as well as try to demote scrolling. We want this to channel the energy of early 2000s blogging while still having a touch of modern social media. The way it could differ from traditional blogging would just be the ability to have a list of pages that are friends (no friend count though) whose pages you can navigate to. This would allow for easy viewing, but not support endless scrolling, as well as limit the time people actually spend on the site viewing vs. creating.
