"This device only supports 1 light level." - Phone not supporting dim feature #2
Comments
Hello if it is helpful I would like to report that one of my devices, the RMX3363 (Realme GT Master Edition), is unfortunately not supported. Also, congratulations on a beautiful application! |
Alright, thanks a lot for the report. |
Can confirm, Asus ROG Phone 6 is not supported |
@LeeseTheFox Alright, thank you :) |
On Android the A52s 5g could change between 5 lightlevels but now that i changed to linigaeOS I get this message. Is this fixable? I couldn't find solutions or simmilar problems on the internet. |
@afffe18 Unfortunately (most) custom OSs do not seem to support flashlight dimming feature. Maybe consider contacting the developers of Lineage OS. |
FlashDim is a great app and has lots of useful features but unfortunately redmi note 10 pro (sweet) is showing supports 1 light level but in cit I have dimmed the led flash ( so there is no hardware limitation ). |
If the app shows that it doesn't support brightness levels that means that your phone manufacturer didn't build the brightness control into their Android SDK I can access as a developer. PS: The cit also seems to be a manufacturer-specific thing, for me the code does not exist. |
If this could be helpful, flashlight dimming is not supported on OnePlus 8T KB2003 either. |
@matteof04 Alright, thanks for the report |
The correct code to access CIT in redmi note 10 pro is star#star#6484#star#star |
Add Poco M5 on the list its not supported Btw. Even though it's 1 level only other features such as Morse and Sos works absolutely amazing |
Blu G33 (lesser known stock Android phone), is not supported. Awesome app though! |
IQOO 9 SE (I2019) is not supported. is there a way by which i can make it work? |
@saravanasg Does the app say you have only one level? |
"This device only supports 1 light level.
Dim feature deactivated."
No I'm not using any modded version although I'm on A14 beta rn

And do you have a modded Android installed?

Okay, then it seems there's no way you can use that feature with your current phone. |
Doesn't work on Redmi note 13 pro also. Additional info: |
@avik-py Alright, thanks for the report! |
LG V60 isn't supported either. Given this was LG's last flagship model before closing their mobile division entirely in 2020 (i.e. they're no longer making smartphones which is a shame), I doubt any LG device supports multiple light levels. Might be better to rule out the whole manufacturer unfortunately. App Version: 2.2.0 (20) |
@Naomitr0n Thank you for the insight.
Your request sounds reasonable, I will exclude all these devices. |
App Version: 2.2.0 (20) |
@abdelrahmaneslam1256 Thanks for the report! |

App Version: 2.3.3 (25) Im on lineage 20 currently and ik there is an issue with os but if phone rooted there is few lines for adjusting brightness. (There are two flash LEDs) The max value you can set is given by the max_brightness file in the same directory. Also app already gives variety of levels but with strange way. If i tap on once it turns on 1 level but if i tap second time it turns 4 level |
App Version: 2.3.3 (25) |

App Version: 2.3.3 (25) |
@cyb3rko It seems that no one has explicitly tested and reported that Pixel 5 does not work. I'd like the opportunity to give it a try. Where can I manually download the app? |
nevermind I got it from FDroid, it does report "1 light level" I'll have to find another way to restore the original brightness... |
@mcprat Yep. And we had somebody testing it on the Pixel 5, it was me. |
App Version: 2.3.3 (25) |

"This device only supports 1 light level. Dim feature deactivated."
This message is shown when your device does not support dimming your flashlight. You can still use basic flashlight features of the app, but all dim features are hidden.
I can not do anything about this as the limitation is hardware related.
Please let me know in the comments if your device is not supported.
Therefore please include your device info from inside of FlashDim in your comment.
That would help a lot ❤️
