AnyTaxi

Motivation

In a sunny shiny morning, you are waking up gently and appreciating for a nice Sunday. And, in a second, you realize that you are going to be late for the first date with your beloved. You have your breakfast rushing down to the street. You are looking for a taxi......but there is NO TAXI! The story ends.

I WANT A TAXI NOW!

Although taxies are abundant in Hong Kong, they are not available anytime everywhere, especially when we are in a rush, we cannot afford to spend any one second waiting for a taxi. What can we do to avoid waiting? It will be best if we could ask a taxi to wait for us! The first solution coming up in your mind might be to make a phone booking. However, this is too tedious. I will have to phone a few taxi service centres one by one, tell each of them my geographical information, and wait for responses. If I am lucky, a taxi might arrive in fifteen minutes. If I am unlucky, no taxi will come...The story ends.

What can we do better? What if I can tell all the nearby taxies at once that I WANT A TAXI NOW, and they compete for my offer. What if I can save the time for repeating my address to enjoy my breakfast. What if I can trace the arriving taxi to soothe my nervousness. Here it comes to our idea - one click, one taxi. The user click a button, and we will do the rest. A taxi could arrive as soon as a request is made.
