⚠️ Known Issues

• Videos on the feed are unclickable when you log in. It might be possible to fix this with a patch but I'm not sure if it's feasible at all. The current workaround is to add the videos into a playlist and watch them there.
• Opening the video settings menu crashes the app. This is a app-related issue caused by the (now mandatory) version spoof patch.

Note

The sponsorblock feature causes some issues with videos (such a certain video sections repeating infinitely after skipping a sponsor), but I can only trigger them on emulators. Unfortunately I don't have a physical Android 5 device so I'm unable to determine if the issues are also present on physical Android 5 devices.

There are other issues present on emulators that I've confirmed are not present on physical Android 5 devices so the sponsorblock bug might not be present at all.
If you encounter the sponsorblock bug on a physical Android 5 device, disable sponsorblock and open an issue.

I've originally created this repository for testing and to determine if it's still possible to use YouTube on Android 5. I only intended to fix the patches that are essential to have the app running.

When Google started blocking access to YouTube altogether I noticed the only way to keep using the app would be to apply the patches from this repository, so I decided to start fixing all the remaining patches.
