Yamaha SPX 990 panel ?

Hi Damien
Are you still working on a Yamaha SPX 990 editor ?
I read some posts where you mentioning something like that.
I am just working on a Korg A2 Effects processor panel, which should be ready by this year. And I am also thinking about doing one for the Yamaha SPX 990 if not anyone else is working on it already.
Otherwise I would next do a panel for the much more complicated and less documented Korg A1Effects processor.

Hi Roland,
Yes I've done it 100%, same for SPX900. I'll release them probably in october/november. I need to work on all the notarization and security and marketing. The development phase was a huge pain in the neck because I had to decypher all the different values for each parameters from the requested "program dump". From this program dump I had to make a system to update the parameter assigned to both CC available for live update. What a bummer. I run it on my computer almost everyday for months so it's rock solid. Making both the software and hardware communicate to each other real time for each parameters was not easy. Not like a simple panel with just sliders and real time CC values. It's going to be a commercial release because of all the hard work. I'll let you know.

So cool for the Korg A2! I read on Gearspace it's a nice multiFX. Is it the one used by the edge on Mysterious Way? Maybe the A1 or A3? Not sure about it.
I recommand you to start with a hardware that is very well documented especially one who has a sysex documentation. Or you're going to freeze on something unfortunately. I started working on a plugin for the Ensoniq DP PRO and cannot release it because there's no sysex documentation available. I also worked on a plugin for the Ensoniq DP4, huge amount of work. Even if there was a sysex documentation available, I had to guess and correct the sysex doc because certain messages were wrong... It's almost finished after 2 years of trial and error and test btw... it takes time, a lot of time :) Synths are so much easier than multi FX there's no comparisons.

If you need help, don't forget to ask on the Ctrlr github discussion https://github.com/RomanKubiak/ctrlr/discussions I'm mostly active there not on this fork. Here it's more about storing some modified code for a slightly updated fork/version of Ctrlr.
