Do we need a way to print non-strings?

Just reiterating what I said in my email. If we can get this working before the check-in, we should be able to show a pretty advanced test suite.

print now mirrors fprint. As per Tim's idea, we don't want to do this long term, and probably want to do type inference. Keeping open.
