Checking with the team about this... They build against 1.6 and assume that 1.7 would work. I'll update when I hear more. |

We've verified that 1.7 works. My guess is that this could be a 32 bit vs 64 but issue - i.e. trying to run the 64 bit version of the editor on a 32 bit vm. Added CannotReproduce label. |

The install guide at http://www.dartlang.org/docs/getting-started/editor/index-win.html says:
"You can download the Java runtime environment (JRE) from Java SE Downloads."
However, I had an error about loading some dll after I installed the JRE.
I fixed it by installing the version 6 of the JRE (whereas version 7 is what the download page proposes first).
So: please specify that JRE v6 is required (if that's truly the case).
