Because the issue is still valid in the most recent version, paste no longer works in the find box. It goes to the editor instead.

Is it possible for this to be fixed, given VSCode's current API?

I'm also experiencing this issue. No choice but to disable until this is fixed.

Same, I'm using the Github Copilot and no matter what I try, with this extension enabled, every copy to the (Copilot) chat box ends up in the editor.

One way to circumvent this issue is to change the keyboard shortcut associated with it (extension.selectPastedText). I'm using Ctrl + Shift + V.
