Hi! I made a community Russian localization plugin for the Harness Web UI — dsh-client-locale-ru.

• Registers the ru language through the public locale API (locale.addLanguage + locale.register), so «Русский» appears in the language menu next to English and 中文.
• Covers 52 namespaces / 2626 strings (translated from the 0.2.0-rc.2 English sources, using the Chinese strings as a hint where English is ambiguous).
• A plain dsh bundle — no core changes needed: dsh plugin --profile <name> add <path-or-package>, or in the Web UI plugin_manager → install_bundle.
• Any key missing from the dictionaries falls back to English, so partial coverage degrades gracefully.

Update — v0.2.1 (2026-10-04). The dictionary is now 63 namespaces / 3119 strings (was 52 / 2626). I merged the 493 strings that were still missing compared to the other community pack, @ragnoryok1/dsh-client-locale-ru (MIT) — mostly file previews (PDF / Excel / Office / image), the session inspector and the schedule manager — so these areas are covered here too. Coverage update (2026-11-01, verified against 0.2.1-rc.5) — plus one part of the desktop UI that plugins cannot reach.

Full coverage of the current client

Since our previous comment the Russian dictionary has grown to cover the current release completely:

• 73 namespaces / 3477 strings (was 63 / 3119); +358 keys added for 0.2.1-rc.5.
• Checked with an audit that parses the client's own en dictionaries and reports 0 missing keys for every shipped module.

Three details that silently hid whole namespaces from our audit, in case they help other localizers:

1. Keys are not always quoted — panel: "Plugins", is valid output, so a "key": "value"-only parser skips the module entirely.
2. The namespace is not always const NS = "...": some plugins pass a literal (ctx.locale.register("entryCustomization", { en, zh }), see dsh-client-ui-entry-customization), others a variable resolved via locale.register(<var>, …).
3. In the desktop build the dsh bundle lives inside resources/app.asar, so a plain-Node audit finds nothing — reading it works when the script runs under the Electron binary: set ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE=1 and "DeepSeek Harness.exe" audit.mjs.

This batch will ship as the next npm release of dsh-client-locale-ru.

Request: the Electron shell's own strings are not localizable

All dsh UI strings are covered now, but the desktop shell keeps its own dictionary and ships only en and zh. In resources/app.asar/lib/main.js (region lib/types/locale.js) there are const en / const zh with about 165 keys: the native menu (Application, Edit, About DeepSeek Harness, Check for Updates…, Manage dsh Command…, Quit), the tray menu (Open DeepSeek Harness, Quit DeepSeek Harness), and the quit / update dialogs. The locale is chosen by resolveDesktopLocale(windowsLanguage ?? app.getLocale()), so on a Russian Windows the menu and tray stay English even with the localization plugin installed.

Could you consider either of these?

• add a ru dictionary to the shell (we would be glad to supply the ~165 translated strings), or
• expose the shell strings through the locale service, so a plugin can register them the same way dsh-client-locale already works for the rest of the UI.

If a PR with the shell strings would be accepted, we can prepare one.

• 73 个命名空间 / 3477 条字符串（此前为 63 / 3119），为 0.2.1-rc.5 新增 358 个键。
• 用解析客户端自身 en 词典的审计脚本核对，所有随包模块的结果均为 0 个缺失键。

以下三点曾让整批命名空间躲过审计，供其他本地化者参考：

1. 键并不总是带引号（panel: "Plugins", 是合法输出），只匹配 "key": "value" 的解析器会整块跳过该模块。
2. 命名空间并不总是 const NS = "..."：有些插件直接写字面量（ctx.locale.register("entryCustomization", { en, zh })，见 dsh-client-ui-entry-customization），有些通过变量再 locale.register(<var>, …)。
3. 桌面版把整个 dsh 打包进 resources/app.asar，用普通 Node 审计什么也找不到；让脚本以 Electron 运行时执行即可读取：set ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE=1，然后 "DeepSeek Harness.exe" audit.mjs。

这批翻译将随 dsh-client-locale-ru 的下一个 npm 版本发布。

请求：Electron 外壳自身的字符串无法本地化

能否考虑以下两种方式之一？

• 为外壳新增 ru 词典（我们乐意提供约 165 条译文）；
• 或通过 locale 服务开放外壳字符串，让插件像 dsh-client-locale 那样注册它们。

如果可以直接提交包含这些译文的外壳 PR，我们可以准备。
