Hey @dehenne

thanks for sharing this. What features are you thinking of implementing?

Hey peter,

it's basically about showing small scripts that interact with socialmedia channels or smth else.
many of the things are possible via services, but I often had the problem that some things were not offered or the service closed down without further ado.

I want to show that a lot is possible with just a few moves and that you can do it yourself. with the combination of the dozens APIs out there, some things are possible but many don't know where to start.

ifttt, zapier, flow can't do everything. If you have any ideas, just give it to me. :-)

for example

  • you always want to be informed when something happens on twitter or makerlog?
  • you always want to be informed about new registrations on makerlog?
  • at a certain day or event you want to post on twitter what?
  • you want to build lists of people and create your own kind of stream?
  • do you want to post on twitter / instagram, if it rains or the sun is shining at your place?

Hey Henning,

I got to think about it a little bit. I'll come back to you in a day or two.

Hey @dehenne

here are some ideas I came up with:

  • auto like responses to your tweets
  • lists of new users on makerlog (daily)
  • retweeting based on a hashtag or user - with limits like "only if it has at least 5 likes".

Mostly pretty simple - nothing super exciting, but something to get started.

I might come up some more stuff. What plan do you have for the structure? Just cli tool or something else?

hmm. actually i had only CLI things in mind. So that you can set up a small RPI and let things run like this. but I am open for everything. :-)

That's fine. Just was wondering what you have in mind. I'm having a RPi slaving away for me as well. I'll add this too 👍
