Current location functions

upro can display the current system location of the user and other users, if available. The location is displayed in the 3D map using a light blue bracket around the respective system and in the 2D UI in the left list ("Map Lists" -> "Current Locations").

To have upro know about your location, a session must be active from the NeoCom browser with trust enabled. If available, you will always see your own location in the 3D map.

Sharing Your Location

By default, your location is available only to you. The locations control panel (upper left: "Map Controls" -> "Current Location") shows a list of available groups that can receive your location.

This list will always contain predefined groups, such as your own corporation. These predefined groups are displayed in Green color.

Select a group you want to share your location with and press the "Send Own" button. An icon next to the group will show up in the list. From that moment on, your location will be available to everyone in the given list. Pressing the button again will stop it and remove the icon.

Displaying Locations of Others

By default no other location is displayed. To display the location of others (who shared theirs), select the requested group in the list and press the "Show Others" button. A second icon will show up to confirm this request. Pressing the button again will hide the locations again.

Display in the 3D Map

If only one pilot is in a solar system, the bracket will have the pilots name next to it. More than one will be displayed only with their count.
