Tiling S3 resources?

I have been thinking... is serving tiles from vectors stored in a remote S3 something being considered?

Our use case needs tiling vectors from various sources like PostGIS and other vectors stored in S3 in different formats like Parquet, GeoJSON or GeoPackage.

I know that https://martin.maplibre.org/ does something similar reading MBTiles from remote or local S3, but we would prefer TiPG since it's more aligned with our tech stack at the moment.

I've started a POC in #213 to have PMTiles support and we will add DuckDB support in the future but this is blocked by DuckDB not supporting Vector Tile output at the moment (see duckdb/duckdb-spatial#620)

hi @vincentsarago, thanks for your reply. I saw exactly the same discussion on DuckDB's repo before starting this discussion.

I understand that we would use DuckDB for reading and querying remote sources. Do you think we would be able to mount any vector format on a remote location using DuckDB this way? 🤔
