Some libraries to check out

UX ideas

  • Maybe limit the red/green changes to within +/- n number of lines of context (don't show the whole text)
  • Add a jump/scroll-to button to get to the diff
  • View all context's of all diff's in all websites as one page (for example, nice to check all the sites in the morning and see them all as one 'stream')

I wonder whether just loading the website current status, and highlighting with yellow the updated text/locations would be a better UI, while still being able to switch to the diff.

What I have in mind is what for example Website-Watcher does: https://appnee.com/website-watcher/

Hmm I would prefer to not have to deal with rendering the website inside of the self-hosted user-interface... i think it sort of becomes horribly complex at that stage... that's a lot of work for a developer... and probably why he has a paid version... I also have to eat :)
