bug(GlobalStatus): make it possible to define a custom icon (or remove the icon)

More details:

Trying to spice up the GlobalStatus a bit, starting with changing the icon, but it doesn't seem to work. The icon just becomes invisible, and the space is still there. Anybody know how to either get the icon changed from default or remove the icon completely (space included)?

Still waiting for confirmation from the developer that reported this, but I would imagine that the icon prop covers this use case.
