Docker for Mac hanging

Expected behavior

Docker should start

Actual behavior

• When I click on the Whale icon in the status bar it says "Docker Starting..." but it hangs forever and never starts.
• Every Docker command on the command-line hangs

Detected symptom of problem 'qcow2-corruption' in C1D86F1F-0218-48AA-A936-884E342166BB/20160913-162341.

This error suggests that the .qcow2 file is corrupt and will need to be recreated.
