After research, me and @wezell decided not to roll containers out by allowing the user to switch between the old and new portlet, instead we are doing to create a new portlet and user can added or removed from the tool groups.

Wait, @fmontes is a mis-communication. I like the idea of switching from the new to the old portlet (not adding it as another portlet). My only difference from your thinking is that in my mind, the angular version becomes the default and we have a link to the old version if the user experiences issues.

Yes... user will be able to change from new to old using Tools and Groups
