I have a Jenkins job that runs
docfx pdf. The Jenkins build log shows progress messages likeoutput-file.pdf: 31%. However, the path of the output PDF file is quite long and something inserts a line break after the first 80 characters, in each progress message. I suspect those line breaks come fromAnsiConsole.Progress(), which is called from here:docfx/src/Docfx.App/PdfBuilder.cs
Lines 118 to 135 in fafdcd5
Is there a way to suppress the line breaks, perhaps by setting some environment variable? They make the build log more difficult to read and are not useful because DocFX can't know the width of the screen on which the build log is eventually displayed.
Also, while I was searching the Spectre.Console documentation for ways to do this, I came across a warning "Progress display is not thread safe", which makes the
Parallel.ForEachAsynccall look risky.All reactions
