line test failed again

I updated the 401 branch but the line test still fails:

# Verify that the nan.points1 file does indeed trigger a "nans_found"
>       with open("./intermed_files/nan.points1", "r") as f:
E       FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: './intermed_files/nan.points1'

…oesn't belong there since it is not created during a test and is a file that is supposed to persist
