strdup(), malloc(), realloc(), etc. may return NULL. Hence, the caller should handle it to prevent NULL pointer exceptions. This bug was discovered and resolved using Coverity Static Analysis Security Testing (SAST) by Synopsys, Inc. Signed-off-by: Metin Kaya <metikaya@amazon.co.uk>
