Today it was noted (by @finnhodgkin & @ZooeyMiller in #87 ...) that the latest version of Socket.io does NOT Work with this project ....

While our dependency tracker suggests that we should update to Version 2.0.3

Until we have time to read through all the Socket.io changes, we should not update it!
