confusing vehicle blinkers when stopping on the left lane

when approaching a (parking) stop, vehicles will blink right to indicate their intent. This is ok if the stop is on the rightmost vehicle lane but confusing otherwise.
Instead vehicles should blink on both sides (emergency flashers) to indicate unusual stopping.
