• Haritada şehir adları var: başkentler yıldızla, Türkiye’nin 81 il merkezi noktayla, ilçe merkezleri kısa bir çizgiyle gösteriliyor. Yazılar küçük ve sönüktür; havalimanları, uçaklar ve ülke adları önde kalır.
• Uzaktayken başkentler ve büyük şehirler, yakınlaştıkça bütün il merkezleri, daha yakında ilçe merkezleri görünür. Köy ve mahalle adları yazılmaz.
• “Etiketler” panelinde yeni “Şehir adları” satırı var: Gizle ya da Göster (varsayılan Göster). Seçim bu cihazda hatırlanır.
• Bilinen sınır: şimdilik Türkiye dışında yalnız başkentler yazılıyor; başka ülkelerin il düzeyi merkezleri ve büyük şehirleri ayrı bir sürümde eklenecek. Türkiye’deki konumlar GeoNames verisine dayanır (CC BY 4.0).
• Hakkında sayfası ve kullanım koşullarının veri maddesi şehir adlarının kaynaklarını (GeoNames, Natural Earth) anıyor. Koşulların yürürlük tarihi 27 Ekim 2026.

City names on the map

• The map now shows city names: capitals with a star, Türkiye’s 81 provincial centres with a dot and district centres with a short dash. The names are small and muted, so airports, aircraft and country names stay in front.
• Zoomed out, you see capitals and large cities; as you zoom in, all provincial centres appear, and closer still the district centres. Village and neighbourhood names are not shown.
• The “Labels” panel has a new “City names” row: Hide or Show (Show by default). This device remembers your choice.
• Known limit: outside Türkiye only capitals are shown for now; provincial-level centres and large cities of other countries will be added in a separate release. Locations in Türkiye are based on GeoNames data (CC BY 4.0).
• The About page and the data clause of the terms of use now name the sources of the city names (GeoNames, Natural Earth). The terms are effective from 27 October 2026.

• Kürenin arkasında kalan uçaklar ve havalimanları çizilmez, uçak listesinde ve havalimanı listesinde sayılmaz. En uzak görünümde havalimanı pinleri gizlenir; küre pinlerle dolmaz.
• İstersen küreyi kapatabilirsin: Etiketler → Harita ayarları → Dünya görünümü → Düz. Seçimin bu cihazda hatırlanır.

The world is round now: zoom out for the globe view

• Zoom out and the world appears as a globe; zoom in and it turns back into the familiar flat map. The globe shows the same satellite imagery and dashed country borders as the flat map, with a thin glow of atmosphere around it. Drag the globe to turn it.
• Aircraft and airports on the far side of the globe are not drawn and are not counted in the aircraft list or the airport list. At the widest view airport pins are hidden, so the globe is not covered with pins.
• You can turn the globe off if you prefer: Labels → Map settings → World view → Flat. This device remembers your choice.
• Known limit: in the globe view too, live aircraft currently come from Türkiye and its surroundings and from the area around the centre of the view; turn the globe away from Türkiye and no aircraft appear there.
• The cookie and storage table in the privacy notice now lists the world view setting too: hy:map:projection, kept on this device until you clear it.

The selected aircraft’s route: its flown track and the way to its arrival

• When you select an aircraft on the map, its track for this flight is drawn, including the part flown before you opened the page: amber in the air, cyan on the ground. Parts without position data are shown as a dashed line.
• The way left from the aircraft to its arrival airport is shown as a white line along the shortest path over the globe (great circle); the line goes away once the aircraft has landed there. The top of the info card shows the estimated route (e.g. AYT → IST) and the airport names.
• Departure and arrival airports are estimated from VRS route data and may be wrong. If an aircraft’s route is unknown or its position does not match the route, there is no arrival line or route row; only its flown track is drawn.
• The privacy notice now says where the site’s server is: in a data centre of its hosting provider, Hostinger, in Frankfurt, Germany. The notice is effective from 26 October 2026.
• API: GET /v1/aircraft/{hex}/route returns the track of an aircraft shown on the map for this flight and its estimated departure and arrival airports (track from ADSB.lol, ODbL 1.0; route from VRS standing-data, CC0).

The map is no longer empty after a release; weather status row fixed

• Right after a new release the live map no longer stays empty for a minute or two: aircraft appear within a few seconds, first over Istanbul and western Türkiye. The improvement takes full effect one day after this release. The number of daily requests to the live data source has not gone up.
• On the Services page of the admin panel the weather row no longer times out and marks the service as down as the stored reports grow; the overall status reflects the real state again.

Model weather for hours without an aviation forecast

• In the “Hourly weather” tab of the airport window, hours with no aviation forecast (TAF), or whose TAF has ended, been cancelled or not been issued, are no longer empty: a row labelled “Model” shows that hour’s conditions (e.g. “Light rain”), an icon and the hourly precipitation (mm) from the MET Norway model forecast.
• Model rows have no wind, visibility or cloud base; those still come only from the aviation forecast and observations. The row says “Model forecast (MET Norway); no visibility or cloud base”. Hours covered by the aviation forecast are unchanged.
• The summary of each part of the day counts model hours separately (“3 hours forecast, 5 hours modelled”); the footnote, the About page and the data clause of the terms of use also mention the “Model” rows.
• Night-time shower icons no longer show a sun: the airport page and the hourly rows in the airport window draw cloud and rain.
• API: the rows of the hourly response include modelConditions (MET Norway’s condition code, icon and precipitation), filled only for later hours where the aviation forecast is silent.

Temperature for later hours in the hourly weather tab

• The “Hourly weather” tab of the airport window now also shows the temperature for later hours. The values are a model forecast from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway); past hours still show the temperature observed in that hour (METAR).
• The summary of each part of the day lists observed and model temperatures separately (“temperature: observed 10 to 12 °C, model 9 to 11 °C”). Hours without an aviation forecast keep their rows with the temperature.
• Temperatures for airports in Türkiye are ready in advance. When an airport abroad is opened for the first time, or again hours later, they arrive about half a minute later; until then the panel says “Temperature forecast is being prepared”.
• API: the rows of the hourly response include forecastTemperatureC (whole degrees, model forecast) and the response includes model (status and the time the model was updated); the attribution lists MET Norway with its CC BY 4.0 and NLOD 2.0 licences.

Contact, privacy, hide request and open data pages; updated terms of use

• The contact page shows the site’s content provider and e-mail address (Turkish Law No. 5651, Article 3). It is linked from the footer of every page and from the map’s attribution line.
• The privacy page explains which data is processed and why, how long it is kept and what your rights are; cookies and browser storage are listed in a table. The site’s own records are kept for at most 30 days (the two exceptions are explained on the page), the site’s software does not store your IP address and analytics only runs if you agree. It is linked from the footer, the map’s attribution line and the analytics consent banner.
• A hide request page for anyone who does not want an aircraft shown on the site: what to send, how it is handled and an e-mail link with the subject filled in. Requests are free; the target is a few hours and at most 30 days.
• The open data page explains how the stored flight records and tracks are derived from the live data: the publication rule and the code lists it uses, sampling, retention periods and the fields kept. The same content is also available as a machine-readable JSON file, and the API documentation links to it (ODbL).
• The terms of use have been updated: the site is not an official aviation information source and has no link with official bodies; the service may not be used for military, intelligence or targeting purposes; liability and governing law clauses have been added. The “interim text” note has been removed.

Up to three admins and a blocklist that works from a phone

• Up to three people can use the admin panel: the site owner and two operators. An operator can switch the live aircraft layer off and on, add aircraft to the blocklist, turn the legal hold on and see the status of the services. Removing entries from the blocklist, turning the hold off, the coverage report and the analytics panel stay with the owner.
• The blocklist can now be used in the panel and from a phone: aircraft are added by hex code or by registration (e.g. TC-ABC) and the list can be searched. An aircraft added by registration is withdrawn from the map, search and the API within 30 seconds, even when its hex code is not known. Removing an entry asks for confirmation.
• Every addition to and removal from the blocklist is written to the action log: who, when, how many entries and why. The log does not store the hex codes or registrations.
• Admins sign in to the panel once more after this release.

Hourly weather in the airport window

• The window that opens when you tap an airport on the map has two tabs: “Now” and “Hourly weather”. The hourly tab has one row for each hour of the day: past hours show the observation closest to that hour (METAR), later hours the airport’s aviation forecast (TAF).
• The window opens on “Now”, switches to the hourly tab after 6 seconds and shows the day in three parts (06:00–14:00, 14:01–22:00, 22:01–05:59) for seven seconds each. The pause button stops the switching; this device remembers your choice.
• Known limit: later hours have no temperature, because the aviation forecast does not include it.

The map says when limited live data is tried again; the status page is removed

• When the live data source temporarily limits our requests, the map’s status line says so clearly and shows roughly when we will try the source again, in Türkiye time (“… We will try it again at about 07:20”). While the limit lasts, the site sends requests to the source less and less often and follows the waiting time the source reports.
• Airport weather no longer stays out of date because of a single slow response: a request that does not answer is skipped, the reports already received are still saved, and the missing reports of the skipped airports are requested in the next updates.
• The public status page (/durum) has been removed. The site’s version is still shown in the footer and on the What’s new page. Old /durum links go to the home page, and /en/durum goes to the English home page.
• API: when the source limits our requests, the status field of live aircraft responses also shows roughly when the source will be tried again (rateLimitedUntil, Unix time in milliseconds).
