I saw this on eevblog and it'd be nice to have an inexpensive network interface for gpib devices. Wondering if you've made any progress you can share?

Hi Mark, Sorry for the delayed response, I've been on holiday. Yes … I’ve been back working on this for the last few months, and do have some good updates to provide. I’m planning on posting an update on eevblog in the coming week or so. Just off the top of my head… - redesigned to allow for gpib fixing screws - now uses a flex pcb to connect the gpib connector (simpler construction) - improved poe board now also supports 24V passive PoE - new 3d printed case - Lots of software changes (lots are 90% complete, so still a fair amount of work to do)… - new VI editor for editing files on the device - command line completion - cron system to automate regular GPIB commands and “posting” - support for auto-posting to http/https/tcp (eg. Grafana etc) - new web server implementation - web based GPIB api - new web interface - basic gpib interface monitor (logic analyzer) My focus now is “finishing off” a lot of this stuff … I’m working on the config system at the moment so I can support multiple configs for things like the cron system, then there are a few other things, then I think it will be good for more widespread testing.
