Bugs:

1. FIXED - If you close a window that was selected in a Workspace 2 the system will switch to a different workspace, completely ignoring the fact that there might still be another window left behind in the previous one.
2. FIXED - If you switch between workspaces quickly, fragments of windows from previous workspaces can end up in random places. It doesn’t break anything critical, but it’s annoying, you end up with a window constantly visible in the background, which just doesn’t look good.
3. FIXED - Session restoration breaks the tiling, the windows split the screen vertically.
4. FIXED - Sometimes, ANY action that triggers an animation (moving around, switching workspaces, changing focus) might run at 10 fps for no apparent reason.
5. DPI awareness - People with DPI 125% and more now have normal tiling without bugs.

Added:

1. Config FPS cap - People with monitors having more than 60HZ can have it smoother.
2. Session saving - If you are annoyed to setup all your apps again, you can press "Save Windows Positions" when you have them all in needed place, and in next time press
3. App is now hidden - That annoying app in your taskbar is now gone.

1. Fixed the RCE bug (The config file could execute malicious files through the app reading it)
2. Added Tray. It has:

• Launcher Apps.
• Open the config file.
• Quit the application and restore every window back, so you wont have to restart them.

QuireTWM v0.1.0-beta

Public beta release of QuireTWM: a scrollable ribbon tiling window manager for Windows 10 and 11 written in C++, and Lua.

Features

• Ribbon Layout: Windows arrange in horizontal columns along an infinite canvas.
• Vertical Workspaces: Workspaces stack on the vertical axis. Desktops slide up and down with isolated window states.
• Direct2D: Zero-latency rendering for active borders, inactive outlines, modal dialogs and the HUD indicator.
• Instant Config Reload: Configuration lives in %USERPROFILE%\.quire\config.lua. Changes update live on file save without process restarts.
• Native IPC Pipe: Dedicated duplex Named Pipe server at \\.\pipe\quire. Control layouts and query state via quirectl.ps1.
• Application Rules: Float windows automatically by executable name, window title or Win32 class.

Installation

1. Download and run QuireTWM-Setup-v0.1.0.exe.
2. Edit your settings in %USERPROFILE%\.quire\config.lua.

Requirements

• Windows 10 or 11 (x86_64)
• Visual C++ Redistributable 2022
