WIP!

Install a2

  • click the a2_installer...exe for instance:

  • Download, Save it, Or Run it right away

  • This might pop up this "Windows protected your PC" dialog:

This is a known issue and will hopefully be resolved in the near future with our own certificate. See #186
So long: please just Press "More Info" and hit "Run anyway"

  • OK the installation

  • A moment later the a2 User Interface pops up:

  • And the a2 runtime is shown among your task tray icons

  • Now before anything else: have a look at the Integration box!\

Note that we don't do any of those without your consent. So:

    • Hit Add Shortcut to Desktop if you want one of those,
    • Click Add to Start Menu otherwise you wont find a2 in there! and of course:
    • Check Load a2 on Windows Start to make it automatically start up.

A question mark ❓ means that this is already set-up but to a different path (in case you had another portable or dev version)

  • How to find a2?

    • If set-up with Add to Start Menu search "a2" in Start Menu and chose "Explore a2 Directory".
    • right-click the a2 tray icon and hit "Open a2 Directory"
    • By default the location is C:\Users\{name}\AppData\Local\a2
  • Pin Taskbar?

    • If wanted you can also pin the a2 User Interface to the task bar.

Get modules

  • So far a2 is empty. The are no modules shipped all is optional and can be installed and updated independently.
  • There are Featured packages tho!
