Cannot clear dials

Describe the bug
There is no obvious way to clear a dial

Steps To Reproduce
Right Click the dial -
no menu entry for clearing
not even using the cut tool

Expected behavior

Device info:

• operating system: Windows 11
• Browser and version: MS Edge
• GroupSpeedDial version: 21.1

After installing Chrome browser (which I used earlier),
did some sync on both browsers,
the "Clear Dial" reappeared in the menu of the Edge.

It is still a bug

Hello,
What context menu was displayed when you right clicked? Was it the default browser context menu?
Maybe you've opened Cloud Dials page, which is currently not editable but it can be opened from any browser even without extension installed.

This is a common source of confusion, I plan to improve it when I start working on a new themes.

Addition to my prev reply  I do use now Win 11 Dial replacement problem was with a single specific dial.  It was supposed to open bbc.com/news , but it displayed an image from bbc.com/news/world...  and opened that site. I could edit the url but not the image. The problem solved by "spilt dial/small" and clear the dial/s. Changed dial to normal, and no more problem. Perfect sync  between Edge an Chrome. 😊 There are still problems with refreshing thumbnails: Refresh only missing Images not reacting. Refresh in background is as "Noisy" as normal refreshing, I did expect to be able to continuous browsing without popping up windows. What are Background and Background2 ? I think life will be easier for everyone, users and developer  if GSD was simplified.... You are right, there is many complicated settings and options right now.
But it's really hard for me to design it well. For me (as author) it's all "easy" and "intuitive" :), even though it's totally not.

The thumbnails generation is crazy complicated process and currently in Chrome it can't be done without stealing user focus by opening new window. They are working on a new API called "Offscreen Document" that may allow creating thumbnails truly "in background".

The difference between "Refresh in background" and "Refresh in background 2" is that first one supports "Crop / scale" and some other features but it's unstable on some highly protected pages and the second one is more stable but doesn't support any special features, so it's used only as backup.

Regarding the broken reload of missing, that's fixed in the 21.4 but Chrome still didn't approved it, hopefully they do it ASAP.

I right click the dial I wanted to delete, as I have done before. Usually "Clear Dial" is the last entry (down). But I could not find it there, I re installed Chrome, and there "Clear Dial" was present  Forced sync on chrome and then on Edge. The "Clear Dial" reappeared in Edge. I have also a problem with replacing a dial: In edge, I replace but I get a different web address. Even if I clear a dial, and try to Probably confusing in the Cloud. On the cloud the thumbnail is strange. The Chrome behaves fine. Maybe, I should force Chrome data into the cloud , and then force the cloud into Edge? But, how can I do it? Hello again,
If you enable thumbnails sync on multiple devices, they will sync them with cloud but only if there isn't already an image from second device. Then when you update one of the images, it will replace it in the cloud and all devices. Otherwise existing devices keeps their own images and only missing are downloaded.

In general, export your data and thumbnails to a file from the Options page just to be sure.
Also if one of your thumbnails changes into bad one, you can undo it from context menu / Advanced / Restore previous thumbnail.

Regarding missing "Clear dial", could you send me a screenshot? Either send it to my support email or upload it here in github.
