Tentacle

Tentacle is a sample terminal tool for querying detailed information of repositories in Docker Hub.

Main Features

• Support most of operation for querying repositories
• Display result set in table
• Sort result set with custome order
• Filter result set by custome list
• Pthon 2.6, 2.7 and 3.X support
• Support Linux and Mac OSX

Installation

Tentacle can be installed using git and python, for example:

git  clone https://github.com/faycheng/tentacle.git
cd tentacle
python setup.py install

Usage

Options:

$ tentacle
Usage: tentacle [OPTIONS] COMMAND1 [ARGS]... [COMMAND2 [ARGS]...]...

Options:
  --help  Show this message and exit.

Commands:
  login   Use username and password to obtain an access...
  repo    List repositories
  reset   'Reset config
  search  Search for repositories from Docker Hub by...
  show    Show detailed information of repository
  star    List, star, or unstar repositories
  tag     List tags of repository

Docker Hub Login lets people query more privated information of repositories.So, best priactice is to perform a login operation before using tentacle:

$ tentacle login

Search for repositories about nginx:
