Reading Scott O'Hara gives some useful insights.

However I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with the palette: should test and patch, mostly.

Also Greg Whitworth pointed out some risk when trying to style in WHCM and mentions -ms-high-contrast non-standard CSS property.

Defintely needs testing before merge.
