I know 'browser-serialport' is unmaintained and so, I understand your decision at 2.0
My only problem is I'm still using it, with browserify to build Snap4Arduino chromium plugin. Yes! I know we have a lot of problems with chromium changes to support extensions connecting to serial... but it's still working!
I don't want to bother you... and I can make an specific hack for this building. But I want to share this question, because maybe I'm missing something, and I want to know if somebody is doing something like this with a browser plugin/extension, to be able to build online apps connecte to local serials.
