Mapping CR to ESC

Hi,
I'm trying to map CR to ECS in insert mode.

This dose not work: ["<CR>"] = { "<ESC>", "Escape Insert Mode"}
While other mapping like ["jj"] = { "<ESC>", "Escape Insert Mode"} works fine.
While in vanilla neovim, this is working - vim.keymap.set('i', '<Enter>', '<Esc>')

Any idea why?

You provided your own solution. It's enter, not cr

I've tried:
["<enter>"] = { "<ESC>", "Escape Insert Mode"} and
["<Enter>"] = { "<ESC>", "Escape Insert Mode"}
none of them worked.

When I run :imap I get:

And if I set the following in my custom/mappings.lua:

i = {
  ["<CR>"] = { "<ESC>", "Escape insert mode"},
  ["<Tab>"] = { "<ESC>", "Escape insert mode"},
},

Tab works fine, but Enter doesn't.
If I map Enter in normal mode-

n = {
   ["<CR>"] = { ":noh <CR>", "Clear highlights" },
}

It works.

I don't know what am I doing wrong.

I found out it's was a different plugin (cmp) that was changing the mapping after.
