What's new in 0.1.3
New features
- Per-remote performance settings. Tune cache mode, read-ahead, buffer size, max cache size, directory-cache time and write-back delay for each remote, with validation before saving.
- Much faster NFS. NFS remotes now default to a full read cache with read-ahead and a 1s write-back (measured about 2.5 MB/s before vs about 17 MB/s).
- NFS mounts live in
~/macsh/<name>instead of the root-owned/Volumes, so no special permissions are needed. - Saved key file path is shown when you edit an SFTP remote.
- Automated builds and releases. CI builds and tests every change, a rolling
nightlypre-release tracksmain, and tagged releases publish automatically.
Bugs fixed
- SFTP key passphrase is now passed to rclone, so passphrase-protected keys work.
- The menu bar item no longer freezes while mounting or unmounting; the work now runs off the main thread, and a second mount request during startup is ignored.
- Clear mount errors. Failures show a readable message with the end of the rclone log, and key files are validated up front.
- Unmounting something already gone (ejected in Finder, rclone killed) is treated as success instead of an error.
- Slow-starting servers. rclone gets up to 30s to start listening, and is cleaned up if it doesn't.
- The whole Settings tab button is clickable, not just its label.
Under the hood
- Test coverage of the core library rose from about 13% to about 89%.
